Centrally located at Boat Quay, the charming restaurant is uniquely spread across two adjoining shophouses over three floors, and can seat up to 140 guests. Absinthe houses four different spaces, each designed with a distinct character and ambience to suit parties and weddings of various sizes.
The Balthazar is a cosy space featuring walls lined with turquoise wallpaper in classic French prints, framed illustrations of ladies dressed invintage French fashion and a brightly lit crystal chandelier, perfect for a simple solemnization celebration. The elegant Salon comes with an attached bar and a private verandah that overlooks the stunning Marina Bay Sands skyline. Located next to the Salon is the Mitjavile, a grand 40-seater with two glass chandeliers and black and white wallpaper featuring whimsical motifs of a Parisian street scene. The Boudoir is a cosy private dining room for couples and has actually witnessed quite a few marriage proposals. The perfect setting can be created with lights that can be dimmed to fit the ambience and mood, along with a special iPod dock for music. On the first floor, al fresco tables along the Singapore River also provide a romantic venue for pre-dinner drinks.
With its green walls and tastefully inviting decor, Absinthe is a lively and friendly space for a “real” French experience. The menu by award-winning Chef-owner Francois Mermilliod comprises of French classics such as Foie Gras Terrine and Duck Confit while the front-of-house team with its warm personal service and attentiveness to detail, aims to complement good food with a level of service that is signature to Absinthe.
